We just bought tickets to the 2007 Rock the Bells festival (tickets are still available on ebay and other places (like StubHub. We paid a little over $600 for 2 VIP tickets.) It’s July 28th in NYC and I am SO excited.
Here’s the lineup so far:
- Rage Against the Machine
- Wu-Tang Clan
- Public Enemy
- Mos Def
- The Roots
- Cypress Hill
- EPMD
- and a bunch of others
It’s going to kick ass.

A high school biology teacher in Oregon was recently fired for referring to biblical passages while teaching evolution. According to this article on CNN, Kris Helphinstine gave a PowerPoint presentation that attempted to show a relationship between evolution, Nazi Germany, and Planned Parenthood.
He’s also an outspoken, right-wing conservative Christian.
*No surprises there.
Note to biology teachers: If you want to share your brand of the “truth,” go teach at a private school. Religion doesn’t belong in a science class. Why is that so hard to understand?
Google has just rolled out a new feature! Gmail Paper
allows a user to receive hard copies of their email (including pictures) for free. Yep, really free.
Pictures are printed on “high-quality, glossy, photo paper” and emails are printed on “96% post-consumer organic soybean sputum.” Yum.
Google offsets the postage cost by selling ad space (red, bold, 36 pt font) on the back of the paper. There are no limits on how many hard copies can be requested!
